Model: Price (USD) = 1.0117 × 10−17 × (days since 3 Jan 2009)5.82, after Giovanni Santostasi. Both axes are logarithmic. Prices are in US dollars because that is the currency the model was fitted in.

A model fitted to past prices can stop working at any time. It is a way to picture long-term growth, not a price target.

The Price of Tomorrow calculator

Inspired by Jeff Booth: technology makes things cheaper to produce, while inflation makes prices rise in euros. What would the same item cost in euros and in sats if technology deflation showed up in hard-money prices?

Inflation simulator

If the money supply grows and nothing else changes, each euro buys a smaller share of the same goods. Press the printer to add 10% to the money supply each time.

A simplification: real-world prices also depend on growth, demand for money and productivity. Starting savings of €10,000 are an example figure.

Supply hardness comparison

When an asset's price rises, producers try to make more of it. Drag the slider to see, in an illustrative way, how supply responds to more demand.

Illustration, not data. For scale: above-ground gold grows roughly 1.5–2% a year from mining. Bitcoin's new issuance is below 1% a year and halves about every four years, whatever the price.
